Looking Back - Subchapter

You know, At one time I was very opinionated, and nothing could change me. At the time I thought I saw everything and knew everything - I contained a wealth of insight that was unmatched by anyone.

That's youth, I guess.

I learned to play the guitar when I was young; and I used to sit in my living room with my parents playing old folk songs for their entertainment. I never wrote my own though, I'd just play ol' hand me downs.

I guess that was the stem of my love for music - folk songs. I used to love Johnny Cash and Hank Williams; hell, there were times when I'd sing their tales for hours and hours to anyone who wanted to hear them.

This was one of those times.

We were sitting on her front porch, and I was playing my guitar for her.

"Take your loving babe', and all your doin' is crying - Can you feel? Are those feelings real? Look at your game, Girl…"

She smiled widely for me; I'm not that good of a vocalist, I'm pretty sure women like the sentiment more than anything though.

I remember thinking to myself that she was it; I was in love; there was nothing further to consider.

Just looking into her eyes, singing to her music from long ago, my sole purpose was to entertain her… it was a powerful experience.

Just peering into those beautiful eyes… If only fire could light a pupil. Nothing about earlier seemed less than perfect; it was like Ginger and I wrapped ourselves up in joy and emerged ourselves in each other; allowing our lust to get the better of ourselves.

Looking over at her, I remember hoping that I could freeze time and stay there with her forever; living and existing with her in a still frame of existence.

I know, I've barely known her a week, but darn; what a week.
